Sugar Conveyors & Sugar Handling
A basic commodity industry, the sugar making process involves the
handling and storage of raw materials and, depending upon the nature
of those materials (either beet, cane or indeed, imported raw sugar)
controlled metering to the juice extraction, crystallisation and
drying processes through to the bulk finished product storage and
packaging.
Nightingale engineers have unrivalled expertise in all aspects
of materials handling within the sugar making process be it the
beet or cane intake, pressing/juice extraction, wet/dry sugar handling
and feed/discharge to/from packaging machinery. Equipment handling
the finished product has to be suitable for food quality hygiene
standards and therefore, involves the use of high grade stainless
steel materials in their construction.
Again, an important part of the secondary processes is the handling
of the spent raw materials which go on to be treated used for animal
feed or fuel.
Typical handling equipment provided for the sugar industry includes:-
• Belt Conveyors
• Screw Conveyors
• Vibratory Feeders
• Vibratory Screens
• Elevators
• Chain Conveyors
• Roller Conveyors
With associated equipment including:-
• Storage Bunkers, Hoppers and Silos
• Steel Supporting Structures
• Access Platforms, Ladders and Stairways |
